About the Site
Well, basically, this will just be another ColdFusion blog, but I also hope to feature postings about all Web technologies, including Adobe Flex, Open Laszlo, J2EE, ASP/.net, PHP, etc…
Why a blog?
In the year 2500, when people look back at history, they’ll remember the Stone Age, the Middle Ages, the Industrial Revolution, and now, the Information Age. It’s quite amazing that we are part of the beginning of a new era; where information is instantaneous and right at your fingertips. An era where minutes after the “Mitchell Report” on performance enhancing substances in baseball was released to the public, you could immediately download it from the internet.
There are many other ColdFusion and web application blogs on the internet. And their might as well be many more. Because, the more we can share and talk about our ideas with other developers who we’d never actually meet, the more we can gain from the vast diversity of experiences all of us have witnessed in our various professional careers. We can avoid common pitfalls that hinder development time, find open source solutions that can easily be configured to increase productivity, and we can learn to write cleaner, more effecient, more readable, more professional code. So, I urge those who read, please share your comments with all of us. My posts never claim to be the end all be all of solutions, and they are certainly most improved by relating to the experiences that others have endured and are willing to share.
And, also, enjoy the videos on the sidebar. I will be updating them frequently and accepting any requests. I certainly like to laugh more than I like to work, so providing videos in a clean and easy way, all hopefully enhances the experiences of my visitors. Thanks for stopping by!
